An engineering company first
IncBio was founded in Portugal in 2006 to build biodiesel processors, and moved to large-scale industrial plants in 2008 — the year we introduced our ultrasonic reactor technology. Since then we have delivered biodiesel plants, pre-treatment plants, distillation systems and extraction plants in Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean, with our first plant in Asia now under construction, and have extended our scope to plastic pyrolysis and HEFA/SAF.
Process, mechanical and automation engineering are done by our own engineers in Maia, with process simulation, 3D design and Siemens PLC/SCADA in-house. Fabrication, commissioning and start-up complete the scope, so that one contractor carries the plant guarantee.
Fabrication
IncBio has closed its Maia workshop and is establishing new fabrication capacity at a location to be disclosed. Fabrication, shop testing and FAT remain part of our turnkey scope.

José Almeida Marques
José founded IncBio in 2006 and has led the design, engineering and commissioning of every plant the company has delivered since. He directs IncBio's engineering, its technology development — the ultrasonic reactors and the MSA esterification process — and its relationships with developers, licensors and clients.
Sérgio Loureiro
Sérgio leads project development and client relations. An engineer by education with an Executive MBA, he spent a decade in banking and finance in the United States before returning to Europe to work in business development across clean energy and biotechnology. He is the first point of contact for developers and investors assessing a project with IncBio.
